Melizza Rosich
She/Her/HersMaker
I’m a maker living in Seattle, Washington. When I’m not baking, I’m sewing. While doing both I am constantly listening to music. Music has always been in the background while I create, or even while I brainstorm creations. Currently I really want to create comfortable pieces: boxy tops and bottoms. As I type this I have a few linen pieces in the wash. Looking forward to cutting a few into a Waikerie shirt.
What influence does music have in your life as a creative?:
Music truly gives me comfort. I always had music on as a kid and the habit never went away. I listen to music whenever I am alone, working on a project. Without it I don’t know if I could relax enough to create. Music has always been a constant companion when I’m making or brainstorming. It helps me concentrate; without it I get lost in my thoughts, running in circles. I can’t say my taste in music is very underground or indie; I love a good pop song.
Tell us about your playlist:
My playlist is random. I am always switching playlists before I start sewing: 90s R&B, 00’s salsa, or current pop hits.
