Evan Leggoe
Maker / ArtistPretty much all I do is make stuff! I have a fine art background and so I’m into-painting, embroidery, ceramics, garment sewing, jewelry, baking and probably other things I’m forgetting at the moment. My main gig is floral design, I started my business about 3 years ago. I’m also a big fan of getting out and enjoying nature, and I’m starting my first garden this year.
What influence does music have in your life as a creative?:
I like to create really long playlists in themes that are for different moods, and I listen to music most often when I’m painting, doing floral design, or cleaning. It often picks up my mood which helps me stay involved in a project, if I’m starting to lag or lose concentration I can switch to upbeat old favorites and it always helps. I listen to music while I sew, but more often I’ll have on a podcast or an old movie I’ve seen before. Something about sewing is so mechanical that I often want a bit more going on than music.
Tell us about your playlist:
I pulled these from playlists I’ve already made, some are more recent finds and some I’ve loved for years. They all make me want to sing along which was why I chose them! I tend to favor female musicians but I mixed some of my favorite dudes in there as well!
