Daisy Elsom

She / Her
Maker

I believe that making my own clothes allows me to meet myself where I’m at – I do not have to be anything other than who I am, or to change or distort myself in any way. I am constantly learning to love my successes and my mistakes, and to appreciate and truly, mindfully occupy the space I take up in the world.

What influence does music have in your life as a creative?:

Music is memory mixed with discovery, relaxation combined with excitement – I like to listen whilst sewing and making. For me, music takes on memory of times and places, and I like to weave those connections to the past in with my present. It can often feel like coming full circle in small ways, and reminds me to be gentle towards my younger self.
